Update - Congenital Heart Defect Coalition Walk

We want to thank all those who sponsored and supported Team Heartblock in connection with the September 30, 2012 Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Walk. Team Heartblock walked to support awareness of congenital heart block, a problem that occurs with the heart's electrical system. Just about all of the children on Team Hearblock have a pacemaker implanted. My son, Luke, was diagnosed with heartblock when he was an infant and was implanted with a pacemaker when he was only six months old. My wife and I are thankful that Luke is doing well with his pacemaker, but we are always fearful of Luke's uncertain future.

Team Heartblock also walked on behalf of the Heartblock Angles, those children who look down on us all from Heaven.

Congenital heart defects are the most common type of birth defect in the United States, affecting nearly 40,000 children per year.
