Overview

Virginia McDaniel Swiatek is Of Counsel to the firm. Ms. Swiatek is admitted to practice law in the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Massachusetts, as well as in the Court of Appeals of Maryland and the Supreme Judicial Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She attended the University of Scranton, from which she graduated in 1989, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, as well as a Master of Arts degree in History. She went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law in New York where she served as the Editor of the International Law Journal and received the American Jurisprudence Award in Products Liability.

Her legal practice has focused primarily on litigation, product liability defense, medical malpractice defense, and all manner of insurance defense work. Outside of work, she helped establish a local parent support group for children with Down syndrome and she assisted in transitioning that group to a 501(c)(3) corporation. She also served 6 years on its Executive Board of Directors and as its Educational Outreach liaison to the local medical community -- for which she was awarded Volunteer Advocate of the Year in 2001 by The Arc of Chester County. She remains active in the special needs community and in her local church community. She brings those interests and experiences to the table as she serves the clients of this Law Office.
